About the event

Disc displacement with reduction, disc displacement without reduction, open dislocation, open locking, what’s the difference? How do we distinguish among them? Diagnosing a TMJ related condition can feel overwhelming! In this lecture, we will discuss evaluating TMJ derangements and arthrogenous disorders. The lecture will highlight diagnostic methods and introduce the clinician to treatment modalities including interventional procedures.

At the end of the lecture, the student will:

· Become more familiar with diagnosing TMJ derangement disorders

· Become more knowledgeable in the pathophysiology of TMJ arthralgia, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis and how these conditions affect the TM joint

· Become more familiar with the associated treatment modalities
