About the event

Orofacial pain is a common sequelae that affects head and neck cancer patients. It may present in the form of radiation fibrosis syndrome, trigeminal neuralgia, neuropathic/neurotoxic pain or as a myofascial pain syndrome that mimics TMD. This course will not only review how radiation therapy and chemotherapy is related to orofacial pain but will also review treatment modalities for various pain related conditions that affect orofacial pain patients in general.

Upon completion of this course, the student will:

· Become more knowledgeable in the presentation of orofacial pain in patients
