1. Soft easy to-chew foods. Moist, soft foods such as mashed potatoes, jello, scrambled eggs, cooked cereal, applesauce, pudding, yogurt and food pureed in the blender are easy to digest as well as easy to swallow even if you have dry mouth or mouth sores. Additionally, sometimes ice cream can be soothing.
2. Sauces. Eating foods with sauces and gravies are easier to swallow and will coat your mouth if you suffer from mouth sores or dry mouth.
3. Hydrate. Hydrating will not only help clean your body from the inside out, but will also help you feel better, keep your mouth moist, as well as help to wash away the food and bacteria in your mouth.
4. Lukewarm food. Avoid eat foods at extremely hot temperatures.
